SINGAPORE – Regardless of the sales of new launches in Singapore slowing down, Keppel Land President Tan Swee Yiow has confidence that the waterfront homes will remain to be generally desired as their units are rare according to The Strait Times.
“How many units can you find in Singapore with such a view? There is demand from people who enjoy this lifestyle,” he mentioned.
Keppel Land has emphasised the charm of living in this area with projects like Caribbean at Keppel Bay and Reflections at Keppel Bay over the past few years, he also added.
In August, the company aims to complete Corals at Keppel Bay and to relaunch the remaining 44 percent unsold units soon.
Sentosa and Keppel Bay can be viewed from the 366-unit luxury condominium on the mainland.
Keppel Land is safe from worries of Qualifying Certificate (QC) extension charges for the units left unsold as they acquired the site before December 2011 when the Singapore government introduced the new rule.
An average price of $2,200 psf has been reached by units at Corals Keppel Bay during its launch in 2013. The next launch pricing will be cascaded closer to the date.
Remarkably, the latest smart home technology will be equipped to the units of this project.
The move happens earlier this year after Keppel Land introduced such technology for 30 households at The Luxurie which has a total of 622 units. It comes with lighting control and home security package which alerts residents of unwanted entry within the off-limit areas of their homes.
On the other hand, residents of Corals at Keppel Bay will be indulged with a more personalized and enhanced version of smart home technology. An application known as Habitap created by Philip Tang & Sons, makes this possible.
“(Implementing smart home technology) is a continuous process of improvement, not a one-off exercise… We think residents will enjoy and benefit from it,” according to Tang, adding that the company aims to introduce these features to its other projects such as Highline Residences.
Philip Tang & Sons Chief Executive Franklin Tang explained that Habitap works differently from other smart home technologies as it is a fully integrated platform allowing a user to control the gadgets in his home, as well as organize his lifestyle and community. Habitap also has a lifestyle feature connected to transport companies, restaurants, and grocery delivery companies, among others.
Resources say that Corals at Keppel Bay, for instance, will be the first condominium to feature an RSVP system merged into its smart home system.
“We hope to become the standard for smart home living,” says Tang, who also revealed that he is in negotiation with different companies in the commercial and hospitality sectors regarding the use of Habitap’s customized version.
