Guocoland has snagged yet another plum site – this time at Tan Quee Lan Street. The site is located just opposite Bugis Junction and DUO Tower/Residences.
Guocoland has another mixed development site in hand just down the street at Beach Road – Midtown Bay.
This brand new mixed-use development at Tan Quee Lan Street is a joint venture between GuocoLand and subsidiaries of Hong Leong Holdings, namely Intrepid Investments and Hong Realty.
The winning bid price translates to $1,535 psf per plot ratio (psf ppr), $4.2% higher than the second and only other bid of $1,473 psf ppr submitted by City Developments Ltd (CDL) and MCL Land.
Tan Quee Lan Street is poised to be the gateway to the Beach Road/Ophir-Rochor Corridor, a new business hub under the Urban Redevelopment Authority’s (URA) Draft Masterplan 2019.
Together with the Marina Centre and Central Business District, the Ophir-Rochor district will be the third leg to this triangular consolidation of all three business districts.
Guocoland is expected to focus on family-sized and larger units for the Tan Quee Land project.
The development will also include public spaces and areas for food and beverage and retail options.
