SINGAPORE – Despite the drop in numbers compared to previous month, new private homes sales by developers in June is 43% higher than a year ago.
The Urban Redevelopment Authority showed on Friday that developers sold 536 units in June which is more than the total of 375 units sold a year earlier.
New private homes sales in June is roughly half of the units sold in May. This is due to the decline in new project launches, owing to June school holidays. As a result, developers only opened 234 new homes for sale in June which is lower than 1,345 units of May launch.
In terms of location, the suburban areas have the highest sales with 324 new units sold. City-fringe areas sold 166 units and 46 units were transacted in the core central region.
Kingsford Waterbay at Upper Serangoon View is the best selling private residential project with 34 units sold. It is followed by The Glades at Bedok Rise closing deals for 32 units and Kingsford Hillview Peak at Hillview Rise with 31 units.
Including ECs sales, total units sold is at 768. Bellewaters at Anchorvale Crescent is the top performer among EC projects with 43 units sold.
